It was a 90% chance of rain on the weather forecast, but I pretty quickly realized that not even an epic flood would dampen the fire of love between these two. A few minutes after we arrived to photograph the groomsmen getting ready, we saw Spencer tenderly fingering the wrapped gift from his soon-to-be wife. “I’m going to cry when I open this… she is such a sweetie!” It was the first in a string of tender loving moments, not just between the couple but between their family and friends who obviously think so highly of these 2.
It certainly did rain, but we still managed to find some neat spots to stay sheltered and dry. The Campbell River Museum graciously allowed us to come out of the rain and into their awesome interior to photograph. I really enjoy finding interesting and unexpected corners to incorporate into my images.
The night wrapped up at a joyous reception at Campbell River Maritime Heritage Centre. Guests wrote advice to the newly marrieds… some profound, some hilarious. I have a feeling they already have quite a stock of wisdom that will bless their relationship and life together. Spencer and Kristen thank you for allowing me to document your beautiful day.
