It was my last wedding of the season, and it sure felt like I ended on a high note… literally – on the top of Mount Washington! The party feeling was already starting first thing in the morning as the girls had champagne and orange juice while their hair was teased into the most gorgeous styles at Urban Hair. The beautiful ceremony was at Filberg Park in Courtneay, with the water and the glacier in the background. I was very impressed with the Tie the Knot Wedding Planners , who made the day run so smoothly, even picking up deer poop before the ceremony so no-one’s dress got dirty! You could tell all the friends and family who surrounded Chris and Sarah on their wedding day, were really rooting for them, and absolutely thrilled that these 2 obvious soul mates were coming together as husband and wife. My dear friend, assistant and second shooter Meredith Peterson only found out on the day that we would be going up the chair lift on Mount Washington, and her panic was growing by the minute. I was totally cool about it, until I actually got on the chair lift and started to look up… and up, by the end of it, we were pretty much clinging to each other… but wow the view from the top was definitely worth it! The evening finished up with a laughter and tear filled reception at the Raven Lodge, and by the time Sarah and her Dad danced to “You raised me up, so I can stand on mountains,” I had a few tears in my own eyes. Thanks so much guys for letting me share in a wonderful day.
